Jeffrey Knab,
Director of Operations

Jeff Knab, long-time chef at the Sea Grille, took over as a managing partner and Director of Operations in March of 2009. Jeff, originally from Tyrone, Pennsylvania, is a 1999 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (C.I.A), and has also trained at Johnson & Wales Culinary School; he holds a bachelor’s degree in food-service management and an associate’s degree in culinary arts. While a student at the C.I.A., he performed an externship at the Sea Grille in 1998. He moved to Nantucket full time in 2002 to work at the Sea Grille, where he eventually became Chef de Cuisine. Since moving to the front of the house at the Brotherhood, Jeff has enjoyed increased interactions with customers, especially having the opportunity to plan private parties and special events. On slow nights, Jeff can sometimes be found playing the piano in the downstairs dining room, and he still has fun in the kitchen making an occasional dinner special. Email Jeff
