Sen. Scott Brown met with constituents and signed copies of his book, Against All Odds, at the Brotherhood of Thieves patio last Friday. It was just one of many events and activities on Nantucket that Sen. Brown has taken part in this summer. Read more in the Inquirer & Mirror.
On Wednesday May 11th, at 7:00 PM upstairs, the Brotherhood of Thieves and Allagash Brewing Company from Portland, Maine hosted a four course dinner, with each course paired with an Allagash craft beer. The dinner, was prepared by Chris Hinds, Chef, and Jeff Knab, GM, of the Brotherhood in collaboration with EJ Harvey from the Seagrille. Jessamy Calkin, a features writer for the Telegraph, a newspaper distributed in the United Kingdom and internationally. For the past 30 years, Vice President Joe Biden and his family have spent the Thanksgiving holiday on Nantucket. The Brotherhood of Thieves is also a Thanksgiving tradition for the second family; they’ve eaten at the restaurant for the past several years, as documented in the Inquirer & Mirror in 2009 and 2010. In this week’s Inquirer & Mirror, there was an article entitled “Restaurant closures leave few culinary presents for visitors” which highlighted the large number of restaurants closed for the season. The Brotherhood, though, is still open! As a community staple, The Brotherhood of Thieves provides a a comfortable and familiar place to get away from the winter chill.
