Donald Kolp,
General Manager

The Brotherhood of Thieves welcomes restaurant veteran Donald Kolp back as their new General Manager, a position he previously held from 2005-2008. Returning to the island after three years as Beverage Manager at the famous Smith & Wollensky in Boston, Kolp brings both twenty-five years of culinary leadership experience and a personal appreciation of the local community to the job. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Kolp began his career as a Sous Chef in California first at Stars and Stars Oakville Cafe in San Francisco and then at Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley. After a teaching stint at The New England Culinary Institute, he opened his own restaurant, Smokejack’s, in Burlington, VT in 1997 ultimately earning a Rising Star award from Restaurant and Hospitality Magazine.  From 2008-2011, Kolp was Food and Beverage Manager at The Great Harbor Yacht Club overseeing the launch of club and supervising its multiple food and beverage outlets including a fine dining restaurant, a family friendly grill, multiple function rooms, two snacks bars and all off-site catering.
Kolp and his wife are happy to be returning to the island. He says, “I have lived in a lot of places and have never been so attached to as many friends as well as felt so much a part of a community.”   Email Don
